Movie Studies Vol. 1
I do movie studies from time to time, to sharpen my colour/lighting, storytelling and composition skills. It is fascinating to study master cinematographers, and to learn how they adapt their compositions and colours to support the stories they are tasked to tell. I just wanted to share these studies here that I've posted on tumblr a long time ago. Each frame takes between 15-25 minutes or so.
Movies studied that are included below: Apocalypse Now, Chicago, Love, Rosie, Pride and Prejudice, Rush, The Aviator, The English Patient, The Painted Veil and West Side Story.
